How Do Referrals Work?
You want to make sure you get credit for the purchases your friends and family make. Here is the skinny on how that all works.
The importance of the "Referral" field
Your key to getting credit is the referral field.
Located in the Checkout section of the website, the referral field is how we know who should get credit for this purchase. Be sure to remind your friends and family to select your name here.
The easiest way to select a person's name is to start typing their name. The website will offer names related to the letters that have been typed in.
What happens if your name does not appear in the drop-down? If your name does not appear, then you might not have an account. Follow the instructions in the Employee FAQ about account creation.
Your personal link autopopulates the website
If you look at your personal link, you can see your name is in there. The website sees this value and populates the referral field with this information. It makes it easier on your friends and family, because then they don't have to remember to add your name to the referral field.
