The 2023 growing season was fueled by abundant winter rainfall that exceeded 30 inches in several areas of Paso Robles, more than double the annual average. This much-needed water replenished the soils and mitigated some of the impact of recent drought years. The long winter led to a late bud break followed by moderate summer temperatures. These conditions allowed for an extended hang time, with harvest starting a few weeks later than typical. Finally, October brought a series of warm days that allowed for a perfect alignment of physiological ripeness. The overall quality of the 2023 vintage is exceptional. The wines have retained freshness and natural acidity while displaying beautiful flavor development.Vineyard
The 2023 Rosé comes from selected Grenache blocks in the Adelaida District, which resides in the rugged westside coastal mountains of Paso Robles. Here, the sun-kissed limestone slopes and cooling breezes produce a rosé with abundant acidity, freshness and flavor. The grapes for this wine were grown and picked at early ripeness for dedicated rosé production, to ensure the highest quality and purity in the finished wine.
