We highlight the beauty and complexity of our valley in this appellation-designated wine, a seamless blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with a splash of Merlot to add a touch of softness and suppleness and Petit Verdot to add color and structure.Vineyard
This wine is sourced from two of our own Napa Valley vineyards, Benjamin Vineyard and S&J Vineyard. Benjamin Vineyard is located east of Conn Creek Road in the heart of the Rutherford AVA. It is planted with 50 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and 8 acres of Petit Verdot. The vineyard is composed of gravelly loam soil, ancient sediments from the Conn Creek and Napa River that flowed through the region thousands of years ago. The S&J Vineyard, located east of the Vaca Mountain range in Napa’s Capell Valley, is made up of 75 acres of vines. It is planted to 58 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, along with 9 acres of Petite Sirah and 9 acres of Zinfandel. The soils are fertile, well-drained and clay loam-based, reminiscent of the Rutherford Bench.
